SPL Maryland Best-of-7 Series Starts Saturday
The Sixes Prize League is proud to grow and offer lacrosse sixes on live television for prize money in Maryland.
Producing a best-of-seven series for the ages, DMV lacrosse clubs Blax Lax and Snakeheads will duke it out at the Soccer Dome in Jessup each Saturday at 2 p.m. The winner of the series will win the prize money.
With NCAA players, national team players, and club laxers on both sides, the first season in Maryland should make for some competitive matchups.
Expect Snakeheads captain Malik Slye, a former player at Rosemont College, and Jamaican National Team player Shakir Saunders to lead the Snakeheads to prosperity. Mason Harding, from Ireland’s National Team and the Montana Lacrosse League, should be a contributor, too. Meanwhile, Derian Williams-Sturdivant, the leading goal scorer in Hampton University Men’s Lacrosse history, and Kier Johnson II, also a Hampton Pirate, are following the lead of their legendary head coach and GM, Coach Lloyd Carter, who is the founder of Blax Lax and the person responsible for bringing lacrosse to Hampton.
