Another Brand New Team Sets to Debut in The Prize League
A new group hungry for their sixes reps joins the league.
What we know is in 17 seasons, only seven programs have ever won a class AAA lacrosse title in these parts of the steel belt. For the Fellas of Pine Richland, they earned that glory once in 2019, and haven’t sniffed it since.
This group of D2 & D3 college-committed and active lacrosse players, Fellas Elite, knows that their chance at WPIAL immortality at their alma mater is over. However, they can still compete in The Prize League, where their talents, grit, and camaraderie will be on display for future legends to come.
Headlined by star Oberlin College rookie Cooper Zancosky, he was rated the fourth-best attacker in Pittsburgh last year, third on his Yeomen team in points this season, he is extremely fast, and he learned his jumpshot from Jumper Master Alex Young.
All-Section player and Messiah lacrosse commit, Rowan Foster, also dots the roster, and so does a young man who is headed to play lax at the 4th-ranked D2 team in the country, up in Greensburg, PA, Clayton Speakman.
Don’t underestimate any team that likes to compete, and definitely don’t underestimate The Fellas in the SPL.
